Giddings, TX to Bastrop, TX
Total miles pushed: 48
7 to 8AM – We loaded up the truck and got ready to push on to Bastrop, TX on the way to Austin.
8:30 to 11AM – I pushed on down HWY 77 for 18 miles into La Grange, TX. We decided to take HWY 77 because we ran into some heavy traffic and construction on HWY 290. There were a few slight hills which slowed my average mph down just below 10.
11AM to 12 Noon – We took a lunch break and I drank a lot of fluids for hydration.
Noon to 4PM – I continued to push from La Grange onto Bastrop, TX. There continued to be some slight hills, but I still managed to make good time. When we got to the edge of the city of Bastrop we hit some heave traffic so we pulled over and decided to stop for the day.
4PM – We loaded up the truck and checked into our hotel for the evening. We took a break for dinner and then resumed our work.
6 to 11PM – Dora continued to work on media and events for the rest of the tour while I continued to work on correcting my book.
11:30 PM – We went to bed.
