Houston to Chapplle Hill

Total miles pushed: 47

7 to 8AM – We packed up the trailer and the Jeep and got ready to push on towards Austin.

8:30 to 9:30AM – I went to meet with my trainer and owner of HealthSpan, Robert Davenport to get some input on my new book, A Nation at War. Also present was Wayne Hunt, owner of Pfit, and also an instructor of personal trainers. Wayne and I discussed some key elements that would enable this book to be a great help and influence for people across America battling with obesity and unhealthy lifestyles which accounts for 2/3 of our population. Robert gave me some suggestions about improving the content of the book, and also about the arrangement of information. Robert and Wayne told me that they would keep working on ideas, and I told them I would do the same. I told them that I had to leave to head on towards Austin.

9:45AM – We hit loop 610 and the feeder road on HWY 290 as I started my push towards Austin, TX. I pushed for three hours and covered approximately thirty miles at 10mph through the slightly rolling hills.

12:45 to 2PM – We took a break for lunch and drank a lot of fluids.

2PM – I pushed on for another 17 miles to Chappell Hill. Along the way we passed a historical monument for Washington County, the first county in Texas. We took a water break at the line to Washington County and then loaded up for the day.

4:30PM – We loaded up the truck and drove to our hotel for the night.

6PM – We finished unpacking for the night and took a break for dinner.

7 to 10:30PM - Dora worked on media contacts in Austin, San Antonio, and Laredo. I continued to work on revising A Nation at War, and Andy helped me.

11PM – We went to bed.
