Media- KXAN NBC TV Interview and then pushing from Bastrop to Austin Airport

MEDIA: 9AM – TV interview with KXAN TV Channel 36 NBC; Reporter – Kate Weidaw and her husband Nathan, the photographer, did a great interview. Kate and Nathan told us that they had just moved to Austin, TX four months ago from Pittsburg, PA. I told Nathan that he wouldn’t be seeing any snow storms or blizzards in this part of the country, so he could rest easy about that. He said the great weather was one of the reasons they had moved to Houston.
9:30 to 11:30AM – I pushed 17 miles from Bastrop, TX to near the Austin airport on highway 71. We stopped at the airport because the traffic was very heavy, and there was no shoulder at all on the side of the road.
11:45 – We loaded up and came back to our sponsor Baymont hotel.
1 to 2:30PM – I pushed 10 miles around downtown Austin and the State Capitol.
1 to 5PM – Dora followed up with the media (television, newspapers, and radio) in Austin, San Antonio, and Laredo. She also followed up with the Mayor’s and Governor’s office in Austin, as well as the Mayor’s offices’ in San Antonio and Laredo.
2 to 7PM – Andy and I updated the activities, the log, the pictures, and the map for the healthandfitnesstour.com website.
