Today was Kevin Saunders Day in Houston, TX

Declared Kevin Saunders Day in Houston, TX by Mayor Bill White

Total miles pushed: 25

7:30AM – We drove to the Conroe City Hall

9AM – I received a proclamation from Mayor Tommy Metcalf of Conroe that declared Monday August 23, 2004 Kevin Saunders Day in Conroe, TX.

11 to 11:30PM – We drove to Print Power, a local print shop that was scanning our oversized proclamations and newspaper articles. We waited for the scans and then took a short break for lunch before driving to the Houston City Hall.

12:30PM – We drove to the Houston City Hall where I would be presented with a proclamation declaring August 24, 2004 Kevin Saunders Day in Houston, TX.

12:45PM – I received a proclamation from Mayor Bill White proclaiming August 24, 2004 Kevin Saunders Day in Houston, TX.

2PM – We drove back to Print Power to have them scan in the newly received proclamation from Houston. Igor and the staff at Print Power really did a great job with the scans, and they were even able to scan the Houston proclamation while we waited.

2:30 to 5 PM – Went to Memorial Park and pushed 25 miles to keep arms loose.

3 to 11PM – We returned to the apartment and continued to work on updating the website and contacting media. I emailed Dody Lira all of the new scans that we had from Print Power. Because I liked thought that Print Power did such a great job on setting up the newspaper scans, I asked Andy to make all of our other newspaper scans look like the ones they did for us. He worked on that, while Dora and I continued to work on media contacts, computer maintenance, and editing my book.

12PM – We uploaded, resized, named, and emailed all of the days pictures to our webmaster Dody Lira.

12:30PM – We went to bed.
