A day of reflection on the “Big Push” and on September 11

9/11 was a terrible tragedy for our country. We reflected today with prayers for those who lost their lives and for comfort for their families. It is important that people remember the loved ones they lost when they where at their brightest, shining with the most love and exhilaration for life, their family, and people around them. No matter what happens it is a waste of time to expend your energy worrying about what you’ve lost, or about negative things that other people think. The important thing is that you have to face things and go forward. You have to be willing to overcome any adversity. It may take time, but you have to make sure that you never quit moving forward for a better life. You have to believe in yourself and give it everything you have and be satisfied with yourself; This is important in every aspect of your life and especially in your health and fitness.
It is a fact that your attitude will control your life. You can allow a positive or a negative attitude to control you. If we can focus on a positive attitude we all can achieve things we never thought possible when it comes to health and fitness. If you’re sedentary right now, stay positive, and you will be able to achieve great things.
The key is, not thinking about what you can’t do, but focusing on what you can. That is why I am doing the tour. To help unite one community at a time to create lasting health and fitness initiatives for all. It’s just like the old saying: “winning is not everything, it’s the only thing.” This is especially true when it comes to winning the war on obesity and unhealthy living in America.

We know our country will never be the same, and we now have a new type of war that we must confront. We are battling a war of terrorism not only at home, but also abroad. However there is another war we are waging where even more lives are lost. Now, our new and more insidious enemy threatens to conquer this nation. It is Killing us. It is robbing us of our resources and our productivity – The very things that have always made this the greatest nation on Earth. As a nation, we must take action against this foe. We must act swiftly and with all our might. We are losing over 300,000 lives every year to the enemies of obesity and unhealthy living. Winning this war has been the purpose of my Big Push across America and ultimately my 50 state tour. It is also the purpose of my book: A Nation at War. The intent is to provide people with a battle plan to help people win the war on obesity and unhealthy living in America.

I’m not going to quit doing my best to provide everyone with a battle plan to win this war on obesity and unhealthy living in America, because there is always a way when you never give up!
