Kevin pushes into Laredo with friend Rudy Sanchez

6 to 9AM – Dora and I took care of some miscellaneous tour business. We caught up with some email and updated the website. Dora made some calls to the media, and called the Mayor’s office in Laredo to set up a meeting for Wednesday.

10:30AM – We packed up the trailer and checked out of the hotel in San Antonio. We loaded up in the Jeep and got ready to drive to Encinal, TX where we had ended the push yesterday.

1 to 5:15PM – We reached Encinal, and I got out and got ready to push into Laredo.
Rudy Sanchez, local athlete and fitness trainer from Laredo joined me in biking from Encinal to Laredo. It was 36 miles from Encinal, TX to the city limits of Laredo, TX. We took three breaks along the way. During the breaks, we were met by various media.

All of the media did a great job on the interviews. KVTV CBS and the Laredo Morning Times both got a lot of images of me pushing because they drove along side me for a few miles.

6PM – We checked into our hotel in Laredo and spent some time visiting with Rudy and the Sanchez family.

7PM – We took a break for dinner.

8 to 10:30PM – We uploaded and emailed the pictures from the day. We also updated the log and sent a few emails to get ready for tomorrow.

11:30PM – We went to bed.
