Pushed from Austin to just outside San Antonio, TX
Total miles pushed: 59
8:00AM - Started pushing towards San Antonio, TX. I pushed on the feeder road of I-35. I ran into some construction where I had to go around, but I got back on the feeder road as soon as I could to keep pushing towards San Antonio.
11:30 to 1PM – We took a break for lunch. I took in a lot of fluids during the break.
1 to 3PM - I kept pushing towards San Antonio so that I could be there on time for the meeting with Mayor Garza of San Antonio at 12:45PM tomorrow.
3 to 4PM – We took another break for water and Gatorade and for some fruit.
4 to 7PM – I continued to push on the feeder road toward San Antonio. Due to the rolling hill country that I pushed through today, I averaged just under 10mph. I ended the push just past New Braunfels, TX at 7PM.
7PM – We loaded up and drove back to our sponsor hotel, Baymont.
8 to 9:30PM – We uploaded the days pictures, and emailed them to our webmaster, Dody. We also worked on updating the log and prepared for meeting with the Mayor’s office in San Antonio tomorrow before 1PM.
Note* Dora was working extra hard on meeting and proclamation with Mayor Garza just a few minutes prior to the city Council meeting at 1:00 PM in San Antonio.
10:30PM – We went to bed.
